The Growatt SPF 3500 ES hybrid off-grid inverter is designed for photovoltaic systems with energy storage. The SPF inverter can operate in energy storage mode (with batteries) or without. The maximum input voltage is 450VDC. The built-in MPPT charge controller optimises the entire charging and discharging process of the battery, thus extending its life to the maximum. The Growatt SPF has the ability to confugure a number of parameters, e.g. it is possible to prioritise charging by AC mains or connected photovoltaic panels. This allows us to maximise and exploit the potential of the inverter to individual needs and operating conditions.

The MPPT charge controller reduces the voltage of the panels to the required level to charge the battery. The current increases in the same ratio as the voltage decreases. This happens continuously throughout the day to optimise energy consumption. This depends on the power of the sun, the angle of inclination and the temperature and condition of the panels. The charge controller also ensures that the battery is not overcharged, but also not fully discharged.

The capacity of the system can be increased to 30 kW by combining a total of six such units in parallel operation.
